It is widely recognized by early childhood professionals that children learn through play. During the early years children engage in exciting and powerful experiences that are crucial in building the foundation for development. Children immerse themselves in play activities that promote development through play. Children express their ideas and engage in exploration, imagination, experimentation and manipulation.

Children's self help skills and independence will be encouraged. The staff will encourage and assist with meal times, dressing, sleeping, toileting and nappy changing.
Children are provided with a balance of active and quiet activities, and a rest time is provided each day. A balance of indoor and outdoor experiences will be provided.
We believe children should learn the importance of respecting and appreciating the environment through nurturing of plants and animals, by using water wisely and understanding and participating in recycling. Environmental education will be fostered in all children by keeping the environment clean.
Meals and menus are provided that are fresh, nutritional and well balanced. Safe food handling and hygiene practices are observed at all times.
Positive encouragement and reinforcement are used as tools to direct and promote behaviours. Through positive encouragement and experiences we aim to build high self-esteem and self worth.
Our program is inclusive of children with special needs and will be provided for. Programs and plans will reflect the individual child's needs and where appropriate resource workers will be utilised.
Our qualified staff have years of experience offering educational programs that are individually age and stage appropriate and encourage children's social, emotional, physical, spiritual and language development. We strive to form positive relationships with parents and family members. Our staff are available to offer support and advice when needed with respect to culture and personal values. We respect the role of the family in the life of each child and encourage family participation in our program.
Staff are committed to ongoing training and learning in the childcare field. The staff meet on a regular basis to discuss issues arising from the centre and also evaluate their childcare practices.
The centre regularly observes, documents and evaluates all practices, to continually update and improve the quality of service and standard of care we provide.
It is our aim to provide a loving, caring, nurturing environment that promotes each child's learning and development, self esteem and individuality, whilst having a day that's lots of fun!
